DALL-E 3 Text-to-Image Generator

OpenAI Launches DALL-E 3

OpenAI has released DALL-E 3 in October 2023, embedded into ChatGPT for the Plus and Enterprise customers. So DALL-E no longer has its own page on the OpenAI site but it’s seamlessly integrated into the AI phenomenon that has become ChatGPT!

But why integrate the two product together when you can charge two subscriptions instead of one?

The answer is two-fold:

  • This is a step forward for ChatGPT in becoming the Artificial General Intelligence that it aspires to be, and
  • Bye-Bye Prompt Engineering…

Bye-Bye Prompt Engineering

The reality that with generative AI creating the right prompt is as important as asking the right question is in receiving the right answer. Until now short prompts will get you mediocre results with all image generators. If you wanted the best results you had to engineer a very detailed prompt.

A match made in heaven between ChatGPT and DALL-E 3 will employ ChatGPT know-how in text generation to transform even the most benign prompt into a sophisticatedly engineered prompt that DALL-E 3 will use to generate the most impressive image any AI image generator can come up with!

You no longer need to be a prompt engineer in order to create very high quality images with an AI image generator like Stable Diffusion or Midjourney. ChatGPT has got you covered!

DALL-E 3 vs DALL-E 2

But how good are the images generated by DALL-E 3? You can see for yourself:

Prompt: A photo realistic, vivid, viking woman screaming a war cry.

Prompt: A knight on horse walking toward the sunset

Prompt: Unicorn walking on the streets of San Francisco!

The quality of DALL-E 3 is a big step forward when compared with the previous version. DALL-E 3 is now at least at a quality level on par with Stable Diffusion XL 1.0 or Midjourney v5.

However DALL-E 3 has the big advantage of being easy to use, over its competition. As it doesn’t require prompt engineering and it’s seamlessly integrated into ChatGPT.

Since all images generated by AI text-to-image generators are in the PNG format you can use our product (BatchPhoto) to easily convert them in batch to JPEG, WEBP, HEIF, or any other image format. Additional operation like: Cropping, Resizing, Watermarking, Date Stamping can be applied in the same session!
