when i select pic files and right click on them I select batchphoto and "apply profile".
then i get the messages "could not load script" and right after "there are no photos to edit"

Make sure that your profile has the correct format (was not edited manually) and is located within the designated Profiles folder:
C:\Users\User\Documents\BatchPhoto\Profiles

If the problem persists you can send us the profile in question to support at batchphoto dot com.
