Take Advantage of Multi-Core Processors for Editing Batches of Photos

Bits&Coffee has released BatchPhoto v. 2.3, a powerful Windows photo
manipulation program that makes it easy to annotate, touch up,
transform, apply effects, convert and rename hundreds of pictures in a
single operation. Instead of enhancing and adjusting pictures
individually, BatchPhoto lets you select a group of images, define a
series of edits, and apply them in a single operation.
With version 2.3, BatchPhoto introduces a new technology: Multi-Core
Image Processing. The idea is to take advantage of the power left unused
in our multi-core processors, in order to achieve higher photo editing
speeds. With this technology alone, BatchPhoto gains a performance
increase in excess of 60% on regular dual-core processors and 150% on
quad-core processors.
Overall, BatchPhoto has more than three dozen graphical filters that can
be applied to pictures. The filters are divided into four main
categories: Annotate, Touch Up, Transform, and Effects. The program is
designed with productivity and ease of use in mind, so the user can save
settings and use profiles for speeding up common tasks. BatchPhoto adds
itself to Windows Explorer's contextual (right-click) menu, so the user
can apply predefined or custom defined profiles to groups of pictures
with ease.
The program can date/time stamp photos in a variety of formats, and it
uses the original date and time data taken from every photo's EXIF
record. It can add comments to pictures using any font, size and color,
and can even adjust the transparency. It also benefits from powerful
watermarking features designed to give image professionals extensive
options for protecting their pictures.
BatchPhoto can easily resize collections of pictures. It knows whether
photos are in portrait or landscape orientation, and applies changes
intelligently. It can also adjust the DPI and document size for batches
of photos.
The program can convert multiple pictures from one image format to
another. It supports more than 100 image file formats, including JPEG,
PDF, PNG, TIFF, BMP, and GIF. It can also change the meaningless names
assigned by digital cameras and scanners, in the same operation.
Whether you're a business person who needs to manipulate groups of
product photos, a home computer user who wants to organize and rename
your family and travel pictures, or a student who wants to collect and
resize images from the Internet, BatchPhoto has the tools that you need.
New features in v. 2.3 include the Multi-Core Image Processing
technology, improved graphical filters, and an improved graphical
interface.
BatchPhoto v. 2.3 runs under all versions of Windows, including Windows
Vista and Windows Server 2009. It comes in two editions: Home and Pro
priced at $29.95(US), and $59.95(US). BatchPhoto may be purchased
securely online at http://www.batchphoto.com/. Quantity discounts and
site licenses are available. A free 30-day trial version can be
downloaded from the same web address.
