Imputed Dimensions Changes When Resizing

I have landscape photos to averagely measuring 1600 by 1200 in dimension which I want to resize to 160 by 200. When I enter the dimensions 160(width) by 200 (height) with the aspect ratio activated it does not accept (it changes automatically to something else); I deactivate the aspect ratio and it maintains the sizes alright but photos are distorted after processing. I'm a new user and getting really frustrated. Any help please?

Hi,
Thank you for your question.
A photo with 1600 x 1200 resolution has an aspect ratio of 4:3. Your target size of 160 x 200 has a completely different aspect ratio.
You have two options:
1. Resize without keeping the aspect ratio which will distort the image, which is not a good option
2. Crop a rectangle from your original photo to match your target aspect ratio. Then you can also apply a Resize after Crop if that gets the desired result.
