Crashes Converting Jpg to Tiff

I was using BatchPhoto version 4.1 pro to convert folders of Tiff files to Jpg but the program kept crashing and needed to be closed, the program was virtually useless. I read on the forum about a fix for a different Tiff problem and was going to try it, but I foolishly purchased version 4.3 pro hoping it would fix the problem but it is exactly the same. I am using a Windows 7 ultimate computer with an eight core processor and 32 Mb of RAM, I have also tried closing all other background programs even the security software but nothing fixes the problem. Also it doesn't matter wether there are fifty or five hundred files in the folder it still crashes.
