Hey,
I have a problem with Batch Monitor.
I'm trying on a test folder to resize all pics inside.
When I "Reprocess all images using the new settings", it says in the logfile that it processed all images.
But nothing actually happened, even though I added a resize filter to this monitor profile.
I read about someone having the same problem, but he got it solved by downloading the newest version.
I did this, but it still doesn't work.
Can someone help me?
Thank you,
Sven

Hi,

We cannot reproduce this problem.

Is the monitor option "Overwrite images in output folder" checked? If it's not checked the new processed photos will be renamed.

If this doesn't resolve your problem, please tell us your operatin system name and BatchPhoto version.

This option is checked
But even if I don't check it, there aren't created any new files or modified files, even though the log says:

Hi,

Unfortunately I am unable to reproduce your problem with BatchPhoto 3.5.2 on Windows Server 2008.

Your log file says that the photos are processed. Can you please confirm that there are no pictures in the output folder specified in the profile?

In order to do that open your profile with BatchPhoto, go to Step 3, and in the Output Section make sure you have the following configuration:
- at Destination - Folder on my computer
- make sure that the option Use selected folder at output destination is selected
- Folder - Here you should find you processed photos

hm it looks like it still uses the %userprofile%\My Pictures folder, even when I use the "Use original photos' folder as output destination" option.

Hi,

You should use one of the following options:
1. Use selected folder as output destination or
2. Recreate original folder structure in selected folder.

BatchPhoto Monitor will ignore the Use original photo's folder as output destination and Create a subfolder in the original photo's folder because that will lead to an infinite cycle(if the processed photos are placed in the monitored folder they will be processed continuously).

So if I understand correctly, I can not use monitor to apply the filter and overwrite the existing images with the filtered ones?
I have to do this manually without the monitor then?
Thank you,
Sven

Hello,

Yes, you cannot overwrite the photos with the monitor. If you want to use it, your output folder should be different than the original photo's folder.

For more details about the monitor you can check the Monitor section from the help file.

Please let us know if there is something else.
