Thank you for your interest in BatchPhoto.

In BatchPhoto you have the [i]Auto Crop[/i] filter which can crop a square from a batch of photos. You can also select the crop region (left/top, center, right/bottom).

Please let me know if there is something else.

I need to resize to fit a 1:1 ratio (like on Instagram) without compromising the image - PicMonkey has this option, but can only edit 1 photo at a time
